The TexShare Library Card Program

The TexShare Library Card allows students, faculty and staff at TCC to check out books at college and university libraries throughout the state. TexShare cards are good at UT Arlington, TCU, and Texas Wesleyan, as well as at most colleges and universities in Texas and some public libraries.

Policies on services and book checkout with the TexShare card are set by each library. Here is a list of participating libraries with links to their lending policies when available.

To Participate:
  • Obtain a TexShare Card from the circulation desk at your campus library or by sending an e-mail request to the TCC libraries.
  • Present identification as required by the lending library.
  • Observe the policies of the lending library.
  • Return the materials in person or by first-class mail to the lending library.
  • Pay assessed charges for lost, returned late, or damaged materials.
  • If requested surrender your TexShare Card to TexShare library staff.

TexShare is a cooperative program of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board co-administered by The University of Texas at Austin General Libraries and AMIGOS Bibliographic Council, Inc. TexShare is designed to enhance library service to students, faculty, and staff of Texas state-supported institutions of higher education. The efficient sharing of library collections is the focus of the program, which emphasizes electronic information resources as well as traditional collections of books and journals.
